── the long version

six-and-a-half years at one company.five different titles.

The internship that was supposed to be two months. The associate role that lasted a year. The senior years that turned into the lead chair. Here's the whole climb, in order, with the bullets you'd want on LinkedIn and the flavor you wouldn't.

  1. Lead Engineer

    Jan 2025present

Leapfrog Technology, Inc. · Kathmandu, Nepal

Now the meetings come with my name on the calendar.

    • Lead technical direction, architecture, and delivery across multiple products and cross-functional teams.
    • Designed real-time voice-to-voice AI assistants on Gemini Live for customer engagement and service automation.
    • Drove migrations of third-party scheduling and workflow platforms to in-house systems — lower cost, more control.
    • Introduced conversational-AI and intelligent-process-automation initiatives across customer service workflows.
    • Drove architecture decisions across scalability, reliability, security, and long-term business impact.
    • Mentored engineers across experience levels; led system-design discussions, code reviews, and technical planning.
  2. Senior Software Engineer

    Dec 2022Dec 2024

Leapfrog Technology, Inc. · Kathmandu, Nepal

The 'senior' is the part that gets you copied on more emails.

    • Owned analysis, design, development, deployment, and maintenance of medium-scale projects end-to-end.
    • Wrote modular, reusable code via TDD, code reviews, and best-practice enforcement across the team.
    • Drove architectural decisions with technology experts; kept the documentation actually current.
    • Owned project risk analysis and root-cause reviews; automated CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.
    • Mentored junior engineers, shared knowledge across teams, and helped run engineering rituals.
  3. Software Engineer

    Feb 2021Nov 2022

Leapfrog Technology, Inc. · Kathmandu, Nepal

Stopped being scared of merge conflicts.

    • Independently shipped small-to-medium-scale projects: analysis, dev, deploy, maintain.
    • Built RESTful APIs, kept technical docs current, ran code reviews with intent.
    • Automated deploys, integrated CI, and did manual ops when CI inevitably refused to.
    • Continuous research on new tech — adopted and rolled into projects where it actually moved the needle.
  4. Associate Software Engineer

    Dec 2019Nov 2020

Leapfrog Technology, Inc. · Kathmandu, Nepal

Learned that 'works on my machine' is a confession, not a defense.

    • Built web applications across the JavaScript stack — ReactJS, Node.js, friends.
    • Engaged in code review on principles, patterns, and problem-solving.
    • Followed (and started shaping) the team's coding standards and working culture.
  5. Software Engineering Intern

    Oct 2019Nov 2019

Leapfrog Technology, Inc. · Kathmandu, Nepal

The two months that turned into six and a half years.

    • Built pixel-perfect UIs from PSDs and learned the ABCs of UI/UX.
    • Wrote mini-games in JS from scratch — gravity, collisions, the joy of `requestAnimationFrame`.
    • Found out I liked this whole 'getting paid to write code' thing.
